Going To "SEE" Santa

"Grandma did you know I went and saw Santa?" That was the question I was asked on Thursday by Mackensie. I asked her if she talked to him and she said "No, brother did the talking". Then I ask her if she cried and she said "NO". I told her how proud I was of her, you see she hasn't been willing to sit with Santa the last two years. Then Valerie gave me this picture. At first I thought that she had fibbed to me - but then I heard her words, "Grandma did you know I went and SAW Santa". She never said she sat on his lap! She sure does have the world figured out. I hope you are all having fun getting ready for Christmas. We had snow today! Wow, I don't even have my tree up yet.

Hee hee...that's cute. We got Paul to sit on Santa's lap because we told him he had to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. So, he did and as soon as he got up there he said (in a whisper), "I want a big scooter, a big bike and a skateboard." With the business done, he jumped off.

It's amazing how literal children can be. I'm just slightly jealous of the snow, but only because I know it makes it feel like Christmas. We're in the high 70s here in Miami, and it's a little difficult to get into the spirit of Christmas. We're not sending out a newsletter until we know where we're moving next, so hopefully it will be a Valentine's letter! We love and miss you!
